MURACO GIFT CARD PROGRAM - END OF YEAR GIFTS
You can still support programs organized by MESPA by purchasing gift cards thru the Muraco Gift Card Program.  Convenient for end of year teacher/staff gifts, crossing guards, coaches, birthday gifts.  Please see Mrs Blasi in the main office.  A few we have: Barnes&Noble, Brueggers, Claire's, Dunkin'Donuts, iTunes, Starbucks, a few AmEx.  Thank you to all who purchased and supported MESPA's fund raising efforts throughout the school year!
WINCHESTER PRESCHOOL
Space is still available in the integrated mixed age afternoon preschool
program at the Winchester Preschool located at the Lynch Elementary
School. The program is Monday through Friday 12:00pm - 2:45pm.  Please call Winchester Preschool at 781-721-7015 for more information and to receive a registration packet.
A LEADER IS NEEDED FOR THE GRANTS COMMITTEE
Would you like to be more involved at Muraco?!  MESPA needs someone to head our "Grants" Committee!  Grants are an invaluable source of funding for Muraco, and pay for everything from supplemental enrichment materials and supplies, to teacher training for special programs.  There are many grants out there that we could qualify for and benefit from, but we need a dedicated parent or team of parents to locate and apply for them!   This is a great post for someone who wants to be involved, but needs flexibility!   If you are interested, please contact Christine Lowenstein (christinelowenstein-at-verizon.net) or Jenny Nordan (jennynordan-at-gmail.com).
GOOD EGG PROJECT GRANT AWARDED TO MURACO
Muraco School was awarded the
Good Egg Project: Back to Breakfast Challenge Grant from Scholastic and the American Egg Board.  With that grant we are going to be able to pilot a small breakfast program that will teach children about the benefits of breakfast and overall good nutrition.  We will be cooking fresh food every week, which brings us to our need.  We need an apartment sized or larger refrigerator.  If you are "trading up" your home refrigerator, please
consider donating your old one to Muraco.  Just contact Brenda Turney in
the fifth grade or the office.
