Direct Appeal 2009/10
It's not too late to contribute to the Direct Appeal fund... Join us in supporting the enrichment programs that make Muraco such an exciting and successful learning environment. The funds raised through Direct Appeal provide enrichment activities that expand the curriculum, build our community, and provide transportation for Field Trips. This year's enrichment programs include: Paul Revere's Ride, a Japanese Tea Party, a trip to Discovery Museum and much more.

Gift Card Program
We are thrilled to participate in the Scrips gift card program again this year. We earned about $1,000 from purchases of gift cards by our community that benefited MESPA programs last school year.
If you don't know already, the Great Lakes Scrip Center offers non-profits (like MESPA) the opportunity to sell gift cards and receive a percentage of the sales. For example: you could purchase a $25 LL Bean gift card and MESPA would receive 17% ($4.25) at no extra charge to you! This is a win-win program for our school by providing a convenient means for purchasing gift cards and supporting MESPA at the same time!
A small sample of available gift cards for vendors nationwide are: Crate & Barrel, L.L. Bean, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Staples, American Express Gift Cards, American Airlines, Marriott, Restoration Hardware, Cheesecake Factory, Stop & Shop, Mobil/Shell Gas, Barnes & Noble, HomeGoods, Macy's, Home Depot, Old Navy, Build a Bear, Amazon.com, Sephora Make-Up, Pottery Barn, REI Sporting Goods, Sears, Williams-Sonoma, CVS.

With the holidays upon us, this service can be used for teacher/staff gift cards, family and friends' presents, groceries, entertainment, dining, Thanksgiving food basket donations, etc.! You can use them for purchases you already intended to make: gas, groceries, medication, etc.
To begin now:

There are 2 methods of payment:
- Presto-Pay (GLScrip Co will deduct the payment from your Debit account)
- Write a check to MESPA (place order on-line, click to pay MESPA directly, print order form and drop it off with check to the Main Office). Check payment must be in the office by Wednesday!
Another service MESPA will be providing, with the help of Mrs. Blasi, will be to sell select cards in the school office. Immediate payment would be necessary. The same benefit percentages apply.
